Jena Jones is an animal advocate, Army Veteran, business owner, and want-to-be farmer! Jena has a longstanding history with animal service organizations. She has both volunteered and served in formal roles within 501c3s since 2007. She served as the Director of Development for a therapeutic riding facility and has been a board member of an Arizona rescue and sanctuary for over 10 years. In her time supporting these organizations, she has managed operations, led growth/fundraising efforts, and provided animal care and fostering. She is proud to say that the number of fostered friends is over 60!
Jena still spends every day actively engaged in animal care and animal welfare. It is her single greatest passion and priority. She owns a small farm caring for sanctuary animals, including horses, cows, goats, dogs, and cats. She hopes one day, she can grow up to be a full-time Farmer. Jena splits time between Columbus, NC, and Meggett, South Carolina, just around the corner from Hallie Hill.
Jena founded and serves as CEO of PGT Solutions, a healthcare-focused IT and professional services consulting firm. PGT focuses on support to Veterans and Service Members through improving healthcare and other critical support to them and their families. She first got involved with Hallie Hill when looking for an animal service organization to bring PGT employees to volunteer. Time spent volunteering resulted in a desire to help further the Hallie Hill mission and, naturally, in bringing home a new family member. Nora, the dramatically friendly Anatolian Shepherd, is a Hallie Hill alum and now spends her time exactly how she wishes: watching over her goat babies… in between naps on the couch, of course!
